Why?
This is very frustrating. I had this phone for just 1 week before this happened. First just the outer glass cracked.. would have been very simple for me to replace and repair it myself. Then a couple days later the black spot in the corner appeared and the actual screen became damaged, so now its a full screen replacement …same price as the phone! I'll buy a screen when I’m ready and replace it myself.
My DIY skills are really not too bad. This was my effort to replace the cord on my macbook pro power supply rather than give apple £60 for another one.
